Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre

The Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre stages Vietnamese water puppetry on Đinh Tiên Hoàng Street at the northern end of Hoàn Kiếm Lake. Founded in 1969 as the Kim Đồng troupe, the company has played since 1993 in a converted former cinema, where puppeteers standing waist-deep behind a bamboo screen move the figures across a pool to live traditional music.
