RHS Garden Harlow Carr lies on the western edge of Harrogate in North Yorkshire and is one of the Royal Horticultural Society's five gardens. The Northern Horticultural Society opened it in 1950 as a trial ground for plants in northern conditions; visitors see long herbaceous borders, a streamside garden, woodland, a lake and the Old Bath House of an 1844 sulphur spa.
