Hillsborough Castle

Hillsborough Castle is a Georgian country house in the village of Royal Hillsborough in County Down, built in the 18th century for the Hill family, Marquesses of Downshire. Since 1925 it has been the official government residence in Northern Ireland and the royal residence there; Historic Royal Palaces has run it since 2014, and visitors see the state rooms and the gardens.
