Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary

Mỹ Sơn is a valley of ruined Shaiva Hindu temples in Thu Bồn commune, about 25 km west-southwest of Hội An. The kings of Champa built brick tower-temples here from the 4th to the 13th century. Much of the site was destroyed by bombing in the Vietnam War; the surviving temple groups have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999.
