Tratzberg Castle stands on a wooded ridge in Stans, above Jenbach in the Inn valley in Tyrol. After a fire destroyed an older castle, the brothers Veit Jakob and Simon Tänzl built the present four-wing complex from 1500. It keeps much original late Gothic and Renaissance furniture, an armoury and the Habsburg Hall with its painted family tree, seen on guided tours.
