Shoushan Zoo

Shoushan Zoo is Kaohsiung's municipal zoo, on the northern edge of Shoushan, the wooded coral-limestone hill above the harbour in Gushan District. Founded in 1978 and moved here in 1986, it keeps animals from Asia, Africa, the Americas and Australia, among them Bengal and white tigers, Formosan black bears, chimpanzees, sika deer and capybaras.
