About Kolding
Kolding is a town in southern Jutland at the head of Kolding Fjord, known for the royal castle Koldinghus and the Trapholt art and design museum. Koldinghus, a former royal castle restored as a museum, rises above the town centre and a small lake. Trapholt, on the fjord east of the centre, shows Danish art, design and furniture, and the Geographical Garden holds plants from around the world. A day is enough for the main sights. The centre is compact and walkable, and local buses run to Trapholt. Skamlingsbanken, a hill with views over the Little Belt, lies outside the town and is easiest to reach by car.
