La Barben Zoo

The Parc animalier de La Barben is a zoo opened in 1970 on a wooded plateau near the Château de La Barben, between Salon-de-Provence and Aix-en-Provence. About 9 km of shaded paths lead past some 130 species from five continents, among them white rhinos, giraffes and bears, and the reptile house occupies a restored 12th-century sheepfold.
