Ponta da Piedade

Ponta da Piedade is a headland south of Lagos where golden limestone cliffs up to about 20 metres high break up into sea stacks, arches and grottoes. A stairway leads down the cliff to the water, boats from Lagos visit the grottoes, and a lighthouse built in 1913 stands on the point.
