Jungfraujoch

The Jungfraujoch is a glacier saddle at 3,463 m between the Jungfrau and the Mönch. Since 1912 the Jungfrau Railway has climbed to it through a tunnel in the Eiger and the Mönch, ending at a station at 3,454 m. A lift rises to the Sphinx terrace at 3,571 m above the Aletsch Glacier, and the complex also holds an Ice Palace and a glacier plateau.
