Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey

Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey is the Benedictine abbey that crowns the rocky tidal island of Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy. Built from the 10th century onwards, it joins a Romanesque abbey church with the 13th-century Gothic buildings known as La Merveille. Visitors climb through the village to the church, the cloister, the refectory and the west terrace over the bay.
