Le Puy Cathedral
Le Puy Cathedral, Notre-Dame du Puy, stands at the top of the old town of Le Puy-en-Velay; part of its nave rests on vaults over the slope, so a long stairway climbs into the church. Built mainly in the 11th and 12th centuries, it is a starting point of the Way of St James; the paid visit covers the Romanesque cloister, the chapter house and the treasury.
