Acropolis of Lindos

The Acropolis of Lindos is a fortified rock above the village of Lindos on the east coast of Rhodes, reached on foot from the village. On top stand the Doric Temple of Athena Lindia of about 300 BC, a monumental stairway with propylaea, and a Hellenistic stoa of 42 columns, enclosed by a fortress the Knights of Saint John built in the 14th century.
