Lugo Cathedral

Lugo Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Mary, was begun in 1129 by the master builder Raimundo de Monforte on the site of an older church and finished in 1273. Its Romanesque nave later gained a Gothic ambulatory, a Baroque cloister and a Neoclassical west front with two towers. The audio-guided visit covers the chapels, the choir, the cloister and the cathedral museum.
