Lund University Main Building

The Lund University Main Building was designed by Helgo Zettervall, built from 1874 and inaugurated by King Oscar II in 1882. Its pale classical facade carries columns, the inscription Regia Academia Carolina and sphinxes on the roof, and it faces a fountain on Universitetsplatsen at the north end of Lundagård; it is a working university building, seen from outside.
