Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge

The Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge, called the Red Bridge for its paintwork, spans the Pfaffenthal valley 74 metres above the Alzette, linking the city centre with the Kirchberg plateau and its European institutions. Designed by Egon Jux, the 355-metre steel bridge opened in 1966; since 2018 it has also carried the tram.
