Stortorget

Stortorget is Malmö's main square, laid out from 1538 after the Monastery of the Holy Spirit and its cemetery were cleared. It is lined by the Town Hall of 1547, the Governor's Residence, Jørgen Kock's House and the Hotel Kramer, and at its centre stands John Börjeson's equestrian statue of King Charles X Gustav, made for the exhibition of 1896.
