Saline Genna

Saline Genna is a working salt pan near the Stagnone lagoon north of Marsala, dating from the 15th century, where sea water evaporates in shallow basins until the salt is raked into white heaps. Visitors take guided tours of the basins and a salt-water tub, and boats leave from here for lagoon tours and for the island of Mozia.
