Great War Museum

The Great War Museum in Meaux, opened on 11 November 2011 near the battlefields of the Marne, covers the First World War from the side of soldiers and civilians. Built around the collection of Jean-Pierre Verney, it shows uniforms, weapons, vehicles and everyday objects from all the warring nations, along with a reconstructed trench.
