Xochimilco

The canals and chinampas, floating-garden fields of pre-Hispanic origin, in the south of Mexico City, part of the UNESCO World Heritage site with the historic centre. Brightly painted trajinera boats leave from embarcaderos such as Nuevo Nativitas, passing gardens, food boats and mariachis.
