Château de Flaugergues

The Château de Flaugergues is a 'folie', a country house begun in 1696 for Étienne de Flaugergues on the eastern side of Montpellier and still lived in today. The house is seen on guided tours and has a large staircase hung with Flemish tapestries of 1670; around it lie terraced formal gardens, an English-style park from 1850 and the estate's vineyard.
