Musée Fabre

The Musée Fabre is Montpellier's fine arts museum, founded in 1825 on a donation from the painter François-Xavier Fabre and reopened in 2007 after a major renovation. It shows European painting, drawings and sculpture from the Renaissance to modern times, including the collection given by Alfred Bruyas; the nearby Hôtel Sabatier d'Espeyran holds its decorative arts.
