Brookgreen Gardens

Brookgreen Gardens near Murrells Inlet, about 30 km south of Myrtle Beach, was founded in 1931 by Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington on four former rice plantations. Its gardens hold more than 2,000 works of American figurative sculpture under avenues of live oaks, and the 3,700-hectare property includes a small zoo of native animals and boat trips on the old rice fields.
