Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus

The Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus lies at the south-east edge of the Sanctuary of Asclepius, about 30 km east of Nafplio. Built in the late 4th century BC and credited by Pausanias to Polykleitos the Younger, it seats 13,000 to 14,000 around a round orchestra and stages ancient drama each summer. The ticket also covers the sanctuary and its museum.
