Tiryns

Tiryns is a Mycenaean citadel on a low rocky hill about 5 km north of Nafplio. At its height between 1400 and 1200 BC it was one of the main centres of the Mycenaean world; visitors walk along Cyclopean walls of huge rough blocks, vaulted galleries built into the walls and the remains of the palace. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with Mycenae.
