Narni Underground

Narni Underground is a guided route beneath the former Dominican convent of Santa Maria Maggiore, now San Domenico, found by six young cavers in 1979. It passes a 13th-century church with early frescoes, a Roman cistern and a hall used by the Inquisition's tribunal, beside a cell whose walls bear prisoners' graffiti. The entrance is in the San Bernardo gardens.
