Fort George

Fort George is a British fort of the War of 1812 in Niagara-on-the-Lake, about 22 km north of Niagara Falls, run by Parks Canada. Built in 1796 and largely destroyed in the Battle of Fort George in 1813, it was reconstructed in the late 1930s; earthworks and palisades enclose blockhouses, barracks and the original powder magazine, with musket and music demonstrations.
