Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park

Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park protects a stretch of the Almería coast shaped by ancient volcanoes, with cliffs up to 100 metres high, small coves, sandy beaches and the salt flats of Cabo de Gata. It became a UNESCO biosphere reserve in 1997, and the jagged rocks of the Arrecife de las Sirenas rise from the sea at its southern cape.
