Nuremberg Zoo

Nuremberg Zoo opened in its present form in 1939 in the Reichswald forest southeast of the city, replacing an earlier zoo founded in 1912. Spread across 67 hectares, it keeps around 300 species, including polar bears, Asiatic lions and gorillas, with a dolphinarium hosting regular shows.
