Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum

Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum preserves the site of a Nazi concentration camp used from 1936 to 1945 near Berlin, later run as a Soviet special camp until 1950. Visitors can walk the camp grounds and surviving buildings and view permanent exhibitions covering both periods. Admission to the grounds and museums is free.
