New College

New College is a college of the University of Oxford founded in 1379 by William of Wykeham, Bishop of Winchester. Visitors enter from New College Lane to see the medieval cloisters, the chapel with a painting by El Greco and Jacob Epstein's statue of Lazarus, the dining hall, and gardens bounded by a stretch of Oxford's old city wall.
