Prato della Valle

Prato della Valle is an elliptical square of about 88,000 m² in Padua. Laid out from 1775 on the initiative of Andrea Memmo, it has a green central island, the Isola Memmia, ringed by a canal lined with 78 statues of figures linked to the city. The Abbey of Santa Giustina stands on its southeast side.
