Caves of Barać

The Caves of Barać are a group of karst caves near Nova Kršlja in the municipality of Rakovica, first opened to visitors in 1892 and later abandoned. The Upper Cave reopened in 2004 for guided tours past stalactites and stalagmites; it is a habitat of horseshoe bats, and Neanderthal stone tools and cave bear remains have been found here.
