Conservas Pinhais Factory

Conservas Pinhais is a fish-canning factory in Matosinhos, just north of Porto, founded in 1920 and still packing sardines by hand under the Pinhais and Nuri brands. Guided tours of its 'living museum' lead through the working production floor, where visitors wrap a tin themselves, and end with a tasting; what is being processed depends on the day's catch.
