São Bento Station

São Bento Station is a railway terminus in Porto's historic centre, built from 1904 to plans by architect José Marques da Silva on the site of a Benedictine convent. Its entrance hall is lined with about 20,000 azulejo tiles painted by Jorge Colaço between 1905 and 1916, showing episodes of Portuguese history and scenes of rural life.
