Poznań Cathedral

Poznań Cathedral on the island of Ostrów Tumski is the oldest cathedral in Poland, founded in 968 when Bishop Jordan arrived. Rebuilt in Gothic form after a fire in 1945, it holds the Golden Chapel, and its crypts show remains of the first church and graves attributed to Mieszko I and Bolesław the Brave.
