Old Town Bridge Tower
The Old Town Bridge Tower is the Gothic gate tower at the Old Town end of Charles Bridge, begun under Emperor Charles IV in the 1350s to a design by Peter Parler. Its east facade carries statues of Charles IV, Wenceslas IV and St. Vitus, and 138 steps lead up to a gallery above the bridge and the river.
