Château de Castelnau-Bretenoux

The Château de Castelnau-Bretenoux is a red-stone fortress on a hill above the Dordogne valley, built by the barons of Castelnau from the 12th century onwards. Its triangular enclosure has round towers, a keep and a deep ditch. The opera singer Jean Mouliérat restored it from 1896, and his furnished rooms are part of the visit.
