Dhayah Fort

Dhayah Fort is a mud-brick fort on a 70-metre rocky hill above the date gardens of Dhayah, about 15 km north-east of Ras Al Khaimah city. Built in the 19th century on a site used since the Bronze Age and restored in the late 1990s, it is where British troops ended their 1819 campaign against the Qawasim. A rough stairway leads up to it.
