Ravenna Cathedral

Ravenna Cathedral, dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ, stands on the site of the Basilica Ursiana, built by Bishop Ursus in the early 5th century. The present church was rebuilt in the 18th century by the Rimini architect Gianfrancesco Buonamici on the old plan; the round bell tower and the crypt survive from the 10th-century building.
