Old Town Hall

The Old Town Hall is a medieval complex built in stages from the 13th century, its tower rising 55 metres above Regensburg's old town. From 1663 to 1806 it hosted the Perpetual Imperial Diet, the Holy Roman Empire's standing assembly of envoys. The Reichstagsmuseum, opened in 1963, shows the historic Reichssaal with its Gothic wooden ceiling and the former council chambers.
