Dettifoss

Dettifoss is a waterfall on the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river in Vatnajökull National Park, where the glacial river drops 44 m over a 100 m wide edge into the Jökulsárgljúfur canyon. The sediment-laden water runs greyish white. Road 862 reaches the west bank, with a path and a viewing platform; a gravel road serves the east bank in summer.
