Saga Museum

The Saga Museum in Reykjavík's Grandi harbour district recreates moments from Icelandic history since the settlement with life-size figures in reconstructed scenes. It was created by designer Ernst Backman and opened in 2002; an audio guide narrates the scenes, and at the end visitors can try on Viking-age clothing, helmets and chain mail.
