Sun Voyager

Sun Voyager is a stainless-steel sculpture by Jón Gunnar Árnason on the Sæbraut seafront in Reykjavík, unveiled on 18 August 1990 for the city's 200th anniversary. Shaped like the frame of a boat, it stands on a circle of granite slabs facing the sea; the artist called it a dreamboat and an ode to the sun.
