Catacombs of Priscilla

The Catacombs of Priscilla on Via Salaria were dug in a former quarry and used for Christian burials from the late 2nd century; more than 13 kilometres of galleries run on two levels. Guided tours show the Greek Chapel, the Cubiculum of the Veiled Woman and a painting of the Virgin and Child dated to the early 3rd century.
