National Kiwi Hatchery

The National Kiwi Hatchery is a kiwi conservation centre on the Agrodome farm at Ngongotaha, north of Rotorua, run by Ngāi Tahu Tourism. It moved here from Rainbow Springs in 2023 and incubates kiwi eggs and rears the chicks; guided tours show the incubation rooms and a nocturnal house where adult kiwi forage, and in spring and summer eggs and new chicks.
