Batana Eco-museum

The Batana Eco-museum opened in 2004 on Rovinj's waterfront and is devoted to the batana, the flat-bottomed wooden fishing boat of the town. The House of Batana shows the frame of a batana, old fishing gear, the life of fishing families and a film on building a new boat; in 2016 the project was entered in UNESCO's Register of Good Safeguarding Practices.
