Vulcania
Vulcania is a theme park about volcanoes and the Earth sciences, opened in 2002 in the Chaîne des Puys west of Clermont-Ferrand. Conceived after an idea of the volcanologists Katia and Maurice Krafft and designed by Hans Hollein, it is built largely underground around a stone-clad cone, with exhibitions, giant-screen films, a planetarium and rides.
