Glanum

Glanum is the excavated site of an ancient town at the foot of the Alpilles, about a kilometre south of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. A Celto-Ligurian settlement that grew under Greek influence and became a Roman town, it was abandoned after 260 AD; visitors walk its main street past houses, baths, the forum, twin temples and the sacred spring.
