Airborne Museum

The Airborne Museum in Sainte-Mère-Église honours the paratroopers and glider troops of the US 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions who landed in Normandy on the night of 5–6 June 1944. Opened in 1964 on the church square, it shows a Waco glider, a C-47 transport plane, uniforms and equipment; its first pavilion is shaped like a parachute.
